Kate and Charles Hudson just migrated an existing real estate website they had built on the Equity framework, with another company, to be a Smart Site.
This team from MartinCountyRealEstate.com wanted our priority tech support and other Smart Site features for their WordPress website.

IDX Broker Omnisearch tool
As we were moving the Hudson’s WordPress real estate website over, there were a few changes that needed to be made on the site. One of the things we changed was the addition of the IDX Broker Omnisearch tool.
The IDX Broker Omnisearch tool is a great new WordPress real estate tool available to all of our IDX Broker clients. This tool has an auto-complete feature which allows the user to just start typing city names, county names, zip codes or other search criteria.
The form will do a great auto-complete providing a smooth, quick property search experience to the real estate buyer.
API based search criteria are always up-to-date
From a technical view, one of my favorite things about the IDX Broker Omniseaarch tool compared to other autocomplete searches we have used in the past is that it uses the IDX Broker API. By pulling the data dynamically using the API, the search criteria are automatically updated.
This automatic updating saves time and money for clients by keeping the search tool automatically in-sync with the available fields from IDX Broker.
Omnisearch design looks great
The second part of the Omniseaarch tool that I really like is how small and sleek it is on the home page.
We have styled it to look great on the site, and not cover up a lot of real estate on the home page. Especially for sites that have a great hero image or a nice slider, this IDX omnisearch tool allows the beauty of the site to shine through.
